The British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association, The Professional Golfers Union and the Golf Club Managers Association supported by the Royal and Ancient in a joint statement provide the following guidance:

The current restrictions do not prevent casual golf taking place.
All golfers should follow some simple steps to maintain the low risk of infection.

When playing please follow the following advice.

Social distancing (2 metres rule) on tee grounds, greens and throughout the rounds should be adhered to.
Always leave the flag in the hole. Carefully remove your golf ball from the hole, not with a golf club.
Do not use ball cleaners.
Do not use the airlines for cleaning shoes following the round.
You should only pick your own ball up.
Do not share any equipment, such as golf clubs, tees, ball markers, pitch mark repairers or rangefinders,
Don’t shake hands, fist pump before, during or after your game

We will keep you informed if new guidance is issued.

Keep safe and well.
